Computers communicate by using numbers, called IP addresses, to contact each other. Because a string of numbers can be hard to remember, the domain name was created to be more memorable. Websites are stored, on special computers called servers. When someone wants to view your website, they type your website address into their browser. Their computer then connects to the server where your website is stored and your webpages will be delivered to them through the browser. We use managed wordpress hosting from Flywheel as our preferred hosting provider.

 

 

 

 

The price for a full website design varies widely depending on the number of pages, products if any and what your needs are. Prices begin at $1,800 for a basic website and depending on the complexity, the cost can run $10,000 and higher. All of the websites we design include content writing for each page, which is something most web design companies don’t offer. It also takes into account the time spent on research your company, competitors and customers. Also included is one year of website hosting with our preferred host Flywheel.

For any of our content writing services, we will quote you per job based on a rate of $75 per hour.

 

Yes and no. We will give you access to the more basic, less technical pages so if you want to make an edit to a page’s written content, add or update a product or publish a blog post you’ll be able to do this. We can also provide you instruction on how to make basic updates. You may not be given access to your homepage and any page that is more complex to edit.

 

 

 

Ideally you should have some basic knowledge of wordpress and website design if you are going to do the edits yourself. Most customers realize the time and learning involved are more than they have time for and hire us to do the updating for them. See our Website Maintenance page for information and pricing.

This all depends on the complexity and number of pages. Like any creative endeavor, the design process can’t be rushed so if you need your website “yesterday” we are unable to help you. Please see our website design page for a description of the website design process.

 

 

 

Yes we can! We can do a refresh if your website is starting to show its age. However, if your website isn’t mobile friendly we recommend a new website design. Google is now penalizing websites that are not optimized for mobile.

 

 

Unfortunately it’s not as easy as “build it and they will come.” The finished website is just the first step towards achieving a high page rank. While we make use SEO best practices such as proper use of headings and alt image tags it’s just one of the factors that affect page rank. Regularly updating your website’s content including blogging, being active on social media and marketing are also needed to help your website to rank well. It’s important to continually promote your website in order to drive visitors to your website.
